This project involves the restyling of a 18-square-meter studio apartment located near a major hospital in Rome, intended for students, young doctors, and medical trainees.
Without altering the existing architectural structure, the intervention focused on a complete visual and functional transformation through targeted design choices. New flooring, fresh wall finishes, and a full furniture replacement were key elements in redefining the space. The bathroom was also renovated, while the rest of the apartment was enhanced through layout optimization, lighting, and material selection.
The original space felt dark and cramped; the restyling completely changed its perception, making the apartment appear brighter, more open, and significantly more spacious. This project demonstrates how a well-planned restyling—even without structural modifications—can dramatically improve the quality and functionality of a compact living environment.
